Craig Murphy opened Skin of a Different Color in 1986. With his passion for art and love of multiple mediums, Craig knew that there was a market for high quality tattoos in the Western Suburbs. He created Skin of a Different Color with the intention of providing incredible tattoos, along with the most professional and comfortable atmosphere. Craig knew he wanted to be a tattoo artist from the age of 15. Craig has enjoyed tattooing for over 27 years. A self-taught artist, with a gift for making people feel at ease, and designing original works of art is what makes Craig's tattoos unique. He appreciates the oppportunity to provide people with a brilliant tattoo that they will enjoy all their life. He specializes in original works of art, cover-ups, and collaborating with a client on their innovative ideas. In addition to being an accomplished tattoo artist, Craig is also a master magician and has performed at multiple venues all over the world. His magic has given him the pleasure of entertaining people of all ages. He especially enjoys doing magic for his clients at the conclusion of their tattoo session!
